Believe in the Impossible

​Have you ever looked at something and thought, "There's just no way"?

Recently in Nugget Time, we talked about dreaming big by starting small. This week feels like the next part of that conversation.
Because sometimes the next step isn't doing more.
Sometimes it's simply choosing to believe again.

One of our values here at Mercy Drops is Believe in the Impossible.
I love that value.
But can I be honest with you for a minute?
There are days I have to remind myself of it.
There are seasons when believing in the impossible feels...well...impossible.
And if I'm being really honest, I think we're living in one of those seasons right now.
We're building.
We're praying.
We're believing.
And every day, we keep showing up.
But there are days I look at everything in front of us and think,
"God...I don't know how You're going to do this."
Maybe you've had a season like that too.
Maybe you're in one right now.

When You Can't See the Whole Picture

Wouldn't it be nice if God just handed us the whole plan?
If He sat us down and said,
"Joe, here's exactly how this is all going to work out."
I'd love that.
But that's usually not how He works.
Instead...
He asks me to trust Him.
Again.
To take the next step.
Again.
To show up.
Again.
Even when I can't see how everything will come together.
And honestly?
That's hard.
But I've also learned that some of the most meaningful things God has ever done started when I couldn't see how they were going to happen.

The Impossible Isn't Too Big for God

There are moments when I catch myself thinking,
"I can't do this."
Maybe you've said those words too.
Maybe your impossible is a relationship that's hanging on by a thread.
Maybe it's your health.
Maybe it's your finances.
Maybe it's a dream you've almost talked yourself out of because it's been taking longer than you expected.
Whatever it is...
I've learned something over the years.
Whenever I get to the end of what I can do, that's usually where God reminds me that He never asked me to carry it by myself.
He simply asked me to believe.
Not because I have all the answers.
Not because I know exactly what's going to happen.
But because He does.
The impossible is usually where God reminds us who He is.

Keep Showing Up

I think sometimes we imagine believing in the impossible means making some giant leap of faith.
Most of the time, it doesn't.
Most of the time it looks like getting up tomorrow and trying again.
It looks like making one more phone call.
Serving one more person.
Praying one more prayer.
Taking one more step.
That's what we're doing here at Mercy Drops Dream Center.
And maybe that's what God's asking you to do too.
Just keep showing up.
Keep trusting Him.
Keep believing.

Now ask yourself a different question.

What if God isn't finished yet?

You don't have to figure out the whole journey today.

Just take the next step.

Then trust God with the one after that.
