Mercy Drops Dream Center

Mercy Drops Dream Center is a ​faith based volunteer-driven charitable organization that finds the forgotten and helps them build a firm foundation so they will flourish in life. There is so much happening in our daily lives and since 2012, MDDC has been reaching into the chaos of life to bring out the good.

​Through our many outreaches and programs, a foundation is built by meeting immediate physical needs such as food, clothing, and shelter. Once those needs are taken care of, MDDC can focus fully on the process of a life of transformation, always free of charge.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to build lasting relationships within the community that bring hope alive. We do this by offering free resources and services, connecting people with a need to a community of support that addresses their immediate and long-term needs. 

​Located in Portsmouth, Mercy Drops Dream Center is dedicated to partnering with their community by working alongside those experiencing homelessness; in under-resourced neighborhoods, veterans, and our foster care system.

Dream Center Network

Mercy Drops Dream Center is part of a global network of Dream Centers all working together to help the hurting and lost in our respective cities. Partnering together we are able to not only share resources and encouragement, but we are also able to see successful transformation in people's lives!

The Dream Center Network is designed to give churches and faith-based organizations the tools and partnerships to start, build, and maintain a Dream Center from the ground up.

​The Dream Center uses their 23 years of experience and curated program guides to assist those that are part of the Dream Center Network.

Founder & Chief Dream Officer: Joe Friszolowski

Born in Norfolk, Virginia and currently residing in Portsmouth, Joe graduated from Christopher Newport University with a degree in Psychology. Shortly after graduation he was running multiple businesses. However, his lifelong struggles with sexual and drug addictions soon caught up with him. He found himself alone, feeling forgotten by God, friends, and family.

During that time, Mercy Drops Dream Center was a vision sparked by the growing knowledge of who he could be, his heart for the forgotten, and a dream of what would happen when people came together to make dreams a reality.

​Today, Joe works to build relationships with people across the community - from our friends living on the streets of downtown Portsmouth to CEO's and COO's of businesses. He understands that the heart of helping people flourish begins with authentic relationships. Joe is also a proud Lefcoe Alumni here in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Joe is married to his amazingly talented wife Sandy. They are proud parents of their cute-as-heck son EJ. Dreams come in many forms, and for Joe, these two are the manifestation of decades of dreaming and praying!
